We have designed a hands-on curriculum for high school and college students that examines natural design strategies, regenerative building techniques, and the history of cob building. Students gain perspective on the conventional construction world and discuss how earthen building could lead toward a more sustainable--or better yet-- regenerative future! In this curriculum we offer scalable 3D tiny-house projects where students construct their dream homes! Students are inspired, and get muddy doing it.
"This was the best class I have taken in college!" -Tristen: Ithaca College-
"Last week’s presentation with the Environmental Science students at Ernie Davis Academy was a master class in knowing your audience. The students are typically pretty hard for an outsider reach but your willingness to be both relaxed and full of energy as well as being “real” with them encouraged a level of engagement that isn’t often seen. As a result they believed in your story as well as your expertise and learned new things about nature but even more about human nature and the human condition. No doubt they would have listened to you all day and if you are able to stop in to see them again, you’ll be welcomed in like you are one of them. Thanks again for your energy and time!" - Jean Coons Counselor -
